Knight of Cups
+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+
A
man in a winged helmet and spurs rides a thick-set grey horse
with fine gilded trappings. An angel offers him a message and
he holds a cup aloft. A large fish jumps in the dark sea. In
the distance a wooden lookout can be seen on the seashore.
My
Interpretation: A
sensitive young man of depth.
An
opportunity approaches. A new lover or intimate friend. An
inspired and creative person. He is emotional
and capable of deep and intense love, but afraid to commit for
fear of being hurt.
(Reversed:
A departure. A charming, attractive and enigmatic person who
is capable of great disloyalty. Beware of trickery and fraud
by someone you trust)
Edit
notes: Different
to v1.0 card as I've swapped pictures
around and added more symbolism to assist readers. This card
is now more similar to the Rider-Waite card, hopefully easily
recognisable as both Knight and Cup are fairly obvious. There
is water for the suit, and a winged helmet and heels to signify
his task as a messenger. There is also a scroll-bearing angel
to signify news, and a watch-tower, from which an arrival could
be seen.
Dedicated
to my wonderful brother Harold McMahon, without whose support
I would have been homeless and/or starving before finishing
the deck.
